Love this place! Out of all the El Toro's in the area (I believe there are 6) this is my favorite. They are fast and cheap and good. If you are looking for 100% authentic, this ain't the place. But if your looking for a decent cheap good Mexican restaurant than this is your kind of place!

The food was inexpensive, but not very tasty. The chips and salsa were the best part. The enchiladas and tacos were made with the same tasteless ground beef. I would have liked more of the salsa, but the waiter never came back. It took forever to get our check which negated the fast food aspect.

Of all the El Toro restaurants, THIS one is the BEST! Service is always fast and meals are large. If you want things done up a certain way, they are happy to accommodate!

Fast and family-friendly Mexican restaurant that serves chips and salsa the moment you sit down. They also serve one of the largest margaritas I've ever seen.

Service is always friendly and efficient keeping you supplied with chips and fresh salsa while you wait for your food. Good food, very reasonable prices. Dad comments that the El Toro salad never shortchanges the chicken. And mom likes the generous portions! A must visit every time you're in St. Joe!

Great place and friendly faces! Great food and service. Always leave feeling great and full! Never had a bad meal. Many birthday celebrations. It's a place to see and be seen! Our family favorite! We eat here once a week or more!

This place has gone to hell! I just paid $12.00 for a plate of fat and grissle, smothered in cheese. They call this carne azteca. Not the first meal I've complained about either. Ever since Martin left, this place is mediocre at best. We used to love their food. Now we're just happy if its edible! I guess they think these small town gringos don't know the difference between good food and garbage. We'll just smother it in queso, and they'll love it. Get your shit together, and have some pride in your work.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
